GdP zu mutmaßlich vereiteltem Terroranschlag in Berlin

Witthaut: Fahndungsdruck auf Terroristen hoch halten

Berlin.

Die aktuellen Festnahmen mutmaßlicher Attentäter am heutigen Donnerstag in Berlin sind nach der Auffassung der Gewerkschaft der Polizei (GdP) ein deutlicher Hinweis, dass die Terrorgefahr in Deutschland nach wie vor auf hohem Niveau ist. Die GdP beglückwünscht die Berliner Sicherheitsbehörden dazu, mutmaßliche Anschlagvorbereitungen im Keim erstickt zu haben.

GdP-Bundesvorsitzender Bernhard Witthaut „Wer glaubt, dass sich zehn Jahre nach dem furchtbaren Anschlägen in den USA und nach dem Tode Osama bin Ladens die Lage normalisiert habe, ist erneut eines Besseren belehrt worden. Witthaut: „Die Polizei wird weiterhin mit einem hohen Personal- und Technikeinsatz den Fahndungsdruck auf potenzielle Terroristen hoch halten müssen.“
