GdP begrüßt BAG-Entscheidung

Alter spielt bei Urlaubsdauer künftig keine Rolle mehr

Berlin.

Die Gewerkschaft der Polizei (GdP) begrüßt, dass das Bundesarbeitsgericht (BAG) die Benachteiligung jüngerer Beschäftigter bei der Urlaubsdauer beendet. GdP-Vorsitzender Bernhard Witthaut: „Das Alter kann kein Rechtsfertigungsgrund für eine unterschiedliche Behandlung sein.“

Nach der BAG-Entscheidung (Aktenzeichen 9 AZR 529/10) steht allen unter den TVöD fallenden Beschäftigten die höchste im TVöD festgelegte Erholungsurlaubsdauer zu, also konkret 30 Arbeitstage im Kalenderjahr.

Witthaut: „Wir begrüßen diese Entscheidung. Sie ist grundsätzlich auf alle Tarifverträge zu übertragen, die eine Staffelung des Urlaubsanspruchs nach Lebensalter vorsehen. Dies gilt insbesondere für den TV-L.“
