Die in der Öffentlichkeit verbreiteten Spekulationen über den Rücktritt des ehemaligen Bundesvorsitzenden der Gewerkschaft der Polizei (GdP), Norbert Spinrath, entbehren jeglicher Grundlage. Konrad Freiberg, amtierender GdP-Vorsitzender: "Gerüchte über heftige Kritik etwa an der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit Spinraths sind aus der Luft gegriffen."

Die Gewerkschaft der Polizei betont, dass Norbert Spinrath sein Amt aus rein persönlichen Gründen niedergelegt habe.
