GdP zum bundesweiten "Blitzer-Tag"

Oliver Malchow: Raserei auf den Straßen nachhaltig bekämpfen

Berlin.

Die Gewerkschaft der Polizei (GdP) gibt einer kontinuierlichen Verkehrsüberwachung den Vorrang vor Schwerpunktaktionen, wie dem bundesweiten "Blitzer-Tag". GdP-Vorsitzender Malchow: "Solche Aktionen täuschen darüber hinweg, dass die Polizei personell nicht mehr in der Lage ist die Raserei auf den Straßen an 365 Tagen im Jahr nachhaltig zu bekämpfen."

Zwar zeigen, so Malchow, auch Schwerpunktaktionen ihre Wirkung, wie offenbar die Erfahrungen im Bundesland Nordrhein-Westfalen zeigen. Malchow: "Wir sind jedoch noch nicht davon überzeugt, dass die Wirkung sehr lange anhält."
